Lamine Yamal: Understanding His Famous Goal and Making Your Own AI Football Clip

Lamine Yamal was born on 13 July 2007 and joined Barcelona’s academy from CF La Torreta at the age of seven. Barcelona’s official player profile describes his development.

He made his first-team debut against Real Betis on 29 April 2023. At 15 years, nine months and 16 days old, he became Barcelona’s youngest player to appear in La Liga. That league appearance was an important step from academy football into the senior professional game. See Barcelona’s debut report.

On 9 July 2024, Spain faced France in the European Championship semi-final. France scored first, before Yamal struck from outside the penalty area in the 21st minute. His curling shot went in off the post to make it 1–1. Dani Olmo then scored, and Spain won 2–1. The timing and result can be checked in UEFA’s match report.

Yamal was 16 years and 362 days old when he scored, setting the record as the youngest goalscorer in EURO history. UEFA’s technical observers later selected the strike as Goal of the Tournament. It was an equaliser in the semi-final, not a goal in the final.

Focus on three things: how he finds space to shoot after receiving the ball, how he adjusts his body before striking, and how the ball curves towards the far corner. Slow motion helps reveal the contact, while normal speed preserves the pressure from defenders and the difficulty of the timing. A single image of the ball going in cannot explain the whole attack.

One famous moment should not stand in for an entire tournament. Yamal recorded one goal and four assists in seven appearances at EURO 2024 and won Young Player of the Tournament. That award is distinct from Player of the Tournament. See the figures in UEFA’s tournament review.

To confirm which match Yamal played in and how a goal happened, start with official club and competition sources. An AI football clip is a creative work: the person in a photograph appears in a generated stadium scene. The footage does not prove they took part in a real match.

Ozil Goal uses a fixed football template. It has no custom action or prompt field and cannot recreate Yamal’s curling goal. You can make a football clip starring yourself; to learn about the player and goal behind the template’s name, read the story of gol de ozil.

1. Prepare one clear photo of a single adult whose image you have permission to use. Supported formats are JPG, PNG and WebP, with a maximum file size of 10MB.
2. Open the Ozil Goal generator and upload the photo. Check that you have selected the right person and image, then review the generation details.
3. Each generation costs 300 credits and produces a 15-second vertical 9:16 video with sound. See the template guide for the settings.
4. Once it is ready, watch the entire video. Check the person’s face, the ball’s movement and the continuity of the actions before deciding whether to share it.

A caption such as “I made an AI football clip from my own photo” gives useful context. Use the publishing platform’s AI content label when available. Do not describe generated footage as a recording of Yamal’s match or suggest that he took part in making it. Fan creativity comes from personal imagination, and explaining the source helps friends understand the clip.
